Climate Change Adaptation Consulting
With the Climate Change Adaptation Consulting NRW, the North Rhine-Westphalia State Office of Nature, Environment and Consumer Protection (LANUV NRW) specifically support cities, municipalities and districts in North Rhine-Westphalia to get active regarding climate preparedness or to successfully continue the path towards increased resilience to where they have already embarked on.
This extends the existing data and information services of the LANUV NRW around the Climate Atlas. A comprehensive set of maps displaying the current and future possible climate for many climate parameters as well as climate impact maps covering flood hazard risk or heat load in urban areas are provided by the Climate Atlas NRW. A vast set of indicators monitoring the state of climate, its impact and adaptation efforts is already supplied by the Climate Atlas NRW platform as well.
With the new task of Climate Change Adaptation Consulting the LANUV NRW acts as trustworthy partner in matters of climate change and climate change adaptation for cities, municipalities and districts in North Rhine-Westphalia.
General Consultation
The general consulting services include an introductory and orientation consultation, advice on the implementation of measures and the sensitization of political bodies. The general consulting works interlinked with the Climate Atlas North Rhine-Westphalia.

Funding
The consultation on governmental funding helps you to navigate the various funding opportunities that exist at the state, federal, and EU levels to finance or support climate change adaptation in municipalities. We are currently working on a public data bank for government aid programs.
